Comprehensive Inshore Skipper Training Course – Master Practical Skills for Life at Sea Our professional yacht crew training course offers in-depth, hands-on instruction for aspiring crew members and sailing enthusiasts. Whether you're preparing for work aboard private yachts, charter vessels, or simply want to gain competence as a recreational sailor, this course provides the skills, safety knowledge, and confidence you need. What You'll Learn: Yacht Construction & Systems: Understand yacht parts like the cockpit, mast, rigging, and boom. Operate basic onboard systems such as toilets, galley appliances, and water/diesel tanks. Engine Operation: Learn to start, inspect, and maintain an inboard engine, including oil checks, coolant levels, impeller function, and alternator charging. Sail Handling: Set sails, reef, tack, gybe, and operate sheets and halyards. Understand points of sail and sail trim based on wind direction. Mooring & Line Handling: Master essential knots, spring line techniques, fender handling, and mooring procedures. Anchor & Dinghy Operations: Operate a windlass, set anchor safely, handle different types of anchors, and manage dinghy transport and outboard engine use. Safety at Sea: Deliver full safety briefings, use VHF for distress calls, handle firefighting and life-saving equipment, and follow Search and Rescue (SAR) protocols. Yacht Handling: Maneuver under power and sail, approach MOB (man overboard), dock under various conditions, and heave-to. Navigation Skills: Use paper charts and GPS, plot positions, recognize navigation marks (IALA A & B), and follow international collision regulations (COLREGs). Weather & Passage Planning: Understand weather systems, read forecasts, identify storm clouds, and plan safe coastal passages based on meteorological data. Environmental Responsibility: Practice eco-friendly boating and respectful seamanship at sea and in harbors. Who This Course is For: Ideal for beginner to intermediate-level crew members, aspiring yacht professionals, deckhands, and recreational sailors looking to gain real-world skills for safe and confident yacht operations. Cancellation Policy
All bookings are taken upon confirmation after schedules and timings are verified with the client directly over phone. Booking & Cancellation Policy We understand that plans can change. Please review the following cancellation and rescheduling policy before confirming your booking: If You Cancel Your Booking 1. Prior to the Program Date: More than 1 month in advance: Full refund of deposit. Up to 2 weeks in advance: 50% refund of deposit. Less than 2 weeks before the scheduled date: Deposits are non-refundable. Up to 1 week in advance: Rescheduling is possible, but no refunds will be issued. 2. On the Day – If You Are Unwell or Unable to Participate: You may choose to: Receive a ₹500 refund per missed session, OR Reschedule within 1 month, by paying: 50% of the original program fee (for single-session programs), 50% of 1 day’s fee (for multi-day bookings). 3. If You Are Unable to Complete the Introductory or Pool-Based Section: After 30 minutes of dedicated effort, if you're unable to perform the required skills: You will be charged ₹1,500 for the orientation and pool portion only. If you choose to continue and still do not meet the requirements after another 30 minutes: You will be charged the full pool session rate of ₹3,950 + taxes. If We Cancel the Program 1. Due to Weather or Operational Issues: You may choose to: Reschedule at no additional cost Switch to an alternative activity, if available, with a discount (not applicable for courses) Receive a full refund for 1-day programs, or a refund equivalent to 1 day for multi-day bookings 2. If You Fail to Show Up or Are Unfit to Participate: Arrivals after the scheduled cutoff time (e.g., 7:00 AM), no-shows, or individuals deemed unfit (due to alcohol, hangover, or unsafe condition) will: Forfeit their deposit Be liable for any outstanding balance, as the slot was reserved and could not be reallocated This policy ensures fairness and smooth operations for all participants.
