PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course

Course Overview

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to expand your skills and confidence underwater. At PMT, this course takes you beyond the fundamentals — introducing you to new diving environments and techniques under the supervision of our experienced instructors in Pondicherry. Upon completion, you will be qualified to dive to depths of up to 30 metres and will have hands-on experience in a range of diving disciplines that make you a more capable and versatile diver.

What You Will Learn

• Deep diving techniques and depth awareness up to 30 metres

• Underwater navigation using compass and natural landmarks

• Peak performance buoyancy for precise depth and trim control

• Two elective adventure dives chosen from specialties such as wreck, search and recovery, or drift diving

Who This Course Is For

Open to certified Open Water Divers aged 12 and above . A valid Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent from any recognised agency) is required before enrolment. Medical fitness to dive must be confirmed.

Duration & Logistics

Typically completed over 2–3 days, comprising five adventure dives in Pondicherry's open water. Theory is completed online or in-class prior to the dives. Scheduling can be arranged to suit your travel plans.
